How we guide projects from concept to completion

Designing or renovating a home involves hundreds of decisions, coordination across contractors, vendors, and trade partners, and careful attention to both vision and execution.

Over the years we have developed a thoughtful process that keeps projects organized while allowing our clients to remain focused on their lives. While the work behind the scenes is detailed and extensive, the experience for our clients is structured, collaborative, and clearly guided.

Below is a high-level overview of how our projects unfold.

Each phase of the process is designed to keep decisions organized, communication clear, and the project moving forward with confidence.

Getting Started

1 — Submit a Project Inquiry

Complete the inquiry form on our contact page so we can learn more about your home, the scope of your project, and your goals for the space.

This helps us understand the project and determine whether our services are well suited before scheduling an introductory call.

2 — Introductory Call

We schedule a brief call to learn more about your project, timeline, and priorities and to answer any initial questions about how we work.

If all continues to align then we schedule the next step in the process.

3 — Project Scope Assessment

During this in-home meeting with Erika, we review the existing space, discuss how you currently live in the home, and evaluate opportunities for improvement.

This conversation focuses on understanding the overall scope of the project, priorities for the home, and the general direction you hope to achieve. While we do not begin designing during this meeting, the insights gathered allow us to prepare a thoughtful proposal outlining the design services best suited for your project.

4 — Proposal & Project Agreement

Following the consultation, we prepare a proposal outlining the scope of design services recommended for your project.

Once the proposal is approved and the Letter of Agreement is signed, the project is scheduled and we move forward into the design phase.

The Design Phase

5 — Project Kickoff

Once the agreement is in place and the project has been added to our schedule, we begin gathering detailed information including measurements, photographs, lifestyle considerations, and initial budgeting guidance.

6 — Design Development & Presentations

During the design phase we shape the overall direction of the project, refining layouts and selecting the materials, finishes, furnishings, lighting, and layered details that will define the home.

As the design develops, the overall project investment is refined to ensure the design direction and budget remain aligned.

Throughout this stage we meet to review the evolving design plan. These presentations guide clients through layout refinement, aesthetic direction, and the selections that shape the finished home.

Each meeting builds on the previous one, allowing the design to develop thoughtfully before moving into implementation.

Project Implementation

7 — Design Approval & Project Preparation

Once selections are finalized, we prepare and manage orders and coordinate the many moving parts required to bring the design to life.

8 — Procurement & Installation

Our team manages purchasing, vendor communication, production timelines, and final installation so the project comes together smoothly.
