Who is pumped about Fall finally being upon us?? Team EBI is- for the most part. This time of year comes with such mixed emotions for us. On one hand; fall temps, the change of leaves, firepits and smores, red wine, and everything pumpkin spice are for sure cause for celebration, however the arrival of these mean that winter is soon to follow. Ugh… These are also signs that our busy season is upon us. As much as we love this time of year it’s absolute chaos in the interiors industry. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, wants their home to be in tip top shape for all of the celebrations to come. That’s a whole other post, so let’s just get back to what we’re here to chat about. Fall Decor! We’ve noticed a few new, fun trends upon us. Check out the pics we’ve curated below and let us which are your favorites.
Layered Doormats

We love all the layers that come with the season! Pumpkins, gourds, cornstalks, and hay bales line front porches, accentuating front doors. This season, we’ve picked up on a major trend: layered doormats. A traditional coir welcome mat placed on a larger black & white striped rug add an extra welcome to guests and residents. What do you think- is this something you’d embrace? Personally, I think it’s fun. It’s not really my aesthetic, but I would appreciate walking up to someone’s house with this.
Flower Power
Team EBI thinks a little flower power can go a long way. The ever-growing use of florals mixed in with fall squash & gourds, makes for the perfect eye candy for any front door. That combo gives this entryway major impact! It creates a nice juxtaposition between city living & nature; softening the concrete lines. Plus, this is on my list of dream homes. Maybe that’s why I’m so drawn to this Fall decor image
Muted Colors

We all think of warm yellows, oranges, and reds when it comes to Fall. They’re probably the first colors you think of. That’s why we adore this upward trend of muted colors. Creamy white pumpkins with various shades of green give us the perfect Summer to Fall transition. I’m sure we’ve all seen these pale pumpkins at the pumpkin patch. Going this direction is a bit more unexpected. Maybe I’ll give this look a try this year.
Simple, but Stately
This is my old faithful look. The vibe I always seem to find myself gravitating towards. The simplest of the bunch. I probably do this because I have NO time to be playing around with all of the other stuff. Give me a cool container and some greens and I’m good to go! And the beauty of this is that it can easily transition right into wintery months.Stick some sparkly lights on those trees and BOOM, Christmas front porch decor done! Bonus, right?!

Many people forget about decorating their back patios and decks. I live on my deck, so I enjoy making it cozy for the chilly Fall evenings. It’s an opportunity to have more fun, add texture and layers with blankets and pillows, as well as pop in some unexpected colors. What are some fun things that you guys do with your Fall outdoor decor? Shoot us some comments.
