Let the good times roll… and the Memorial Day preparations begin!
Our clients keep us running like busy bee’s during the week, making us EBI ladies some serious weekend warriors. If you are still pondering your plans for this holiday weekend, especially where to enjoy it, we have rounded up the three best spaces in your home to prep. and celebrate in.
Most commonly known as the heart of the home, or in this case the heart of the holiday party, is the kitchen! If we are ever missing, you can find us where all the yummy food and drinks are. The large islands centered in these kitchens have plenty of space to gather around making it the perfect set-up for mingling with family and friends.
The mix of different woods, brass and a patterned backsplash makes this kitchen so welcoming. Design by Nicole Davis Interiors.
In a perfect world we would be spending Memorial Day in this Lake Michigan kitchen designed by Martin Horner.
When you can’t decide whether you want to be completely inside or outdoors, there’s this magical place we refer to as a sunroom or a morning room. These spaces give you the best of both worlds because they are filled with natural lighting making you feel like you’re outside, but come with the luxury of shading and are typically bug free, ha! We could kick our feet up this weekend in any of these rooms.

Get ready for some outdoor hangouts!! It’s that time of year to bring your cushions out of hiding and dust off your outdoor furniture for some backyard fun. With the right weather (fingers crossed) we could spend all day hanging outside in any of these patio spaces – perhaps with some barbecue cooking on the grill.

Veronica Swanson Beard’s lovely backyard patio.
We especially love Celerie Kemble’s patio design with the sky blue chairs as a subtle patriotic element for this weekend.
We hope everyone has a fabulous and safe Memorial Day weekend!
